Business Inn review: A budget hotel near Nana BTS in Bangkok

July 25, 2017 By James Clark

Hotel Review - Business Inn

Hotel Name: Business Inn
Address: 153/11-14 Soi Sukhumvit 11/1, Sukhumvit Rd., Bangkok, Thailand

I stayed at the Business Inn in Bangkok. I was looking for something on Sukhumvit Road and a deal popped up for this one. The hotel is on Sukhumvit 11/1, which is an alley between Sukhumvit 11 and 13. It’s near the Nana BTS station, so it is right in the action of Sukhumvit Road. If you are unfamiliar with the city, this is a popular area to stay in Bangkok.

I didn’t look at the address properly when I arrived so I went to Sukhumvit 11, and there I passed the Grand Business Inn, which was not the hotel I was looking for (though they seem to be connected as they use the same wifi login). I eventually worked out where I was and went back to 11/1.

Sukhumvit Soi 11/1 is a small alley lined with Indian restaurants and travel agencies. It is connected to Soi 11 at the end so it is a shortcut route.

I got a single room with a private bathroom. My room happened to be one of the rooms without a window, which is not my usual preference. When you are booking budget rooms sometimes you have to sacrifice a window. I saw one of the double room that had a window which made a big difference to the feel of the room.

The single bed was comfortable, and it had the winning combination of bedside table, bedside lamp, and power outlets next to the bed – a rare trio in old budget hotels.

A simple and spacious work desk and cupboard.

The bathroom was clean and orderly with a good hot water system.

There is free wifi in the hotel which had a good signal, though it required you to login every time you used the internet. Annoying to be needing to enter a username and password every time.

There was no breakfast service, let alone anywhere to sit for breakfast. There was a menu in the room though for room service meals.

Overall this hotel served its purpose well for being a cheap hotel in central Bangkok. The staff wre friendly and the hotel was kept in good condition despite its age.

Check rates for the Business Inn, or search for more hotels in Bangkok.
