Hostel Review: Be Hostels Zaragoza, Zaragoza – Spain

July 21, 2015 By James Clark

Hostel Name: Be Hostels Zaragoza
Address: Calle Predicadores 70, Zaragoza, Spain

Be Hostels Zaragoza, Zaragoza - Spain

I stayed at Be Hostels in Zaragoza, Spain. I was hosted by the Be Hostels group, who offered me a room should I be staying in one of their cities.

Be Hostels is a hostel group from Barcelona, and Zaragoza is their first hostel outside Barcelona. I like staying in these independent chain hostels as it is a good sign that they know how to run a hostel.

The hostel is located close the old city, about 5 minutes walk from the massive cathedral. I walked to the hostel from the Portillo train station, which took about 25 minutes. It’s not the main station but it has some InterCity trains stop there.

I got a private room which had two single beds and a desk, which is a standard set up for a private room in a hostel.

Be Hostels Zaragoza - Private room

This was a room with a share bathroom, which was next to my room.

Downstairs there are comfortable couches in the common area next to the reception, and plenty of tables in the kitchen area. There are also tables outside in the little courtyard, and a bar in the basement. If you are self catering there is a supermarket on the same street, a few minutes walk towards the old town.

Dining Area

The is free wifi which I was able to get in my room. There is also a free breakfast of cereal and toast. I left early (before the official breakfast time) but the guy at reception offered to let me grab something to eat. I didn’t have breakfast but I liked that he offerd.

Overall this was a great hostel to stay at in Zaragoza. The location was ideal and the hostel was well run and friendly.
