Hotel Review: Ayola Sentosa Palembang

April 22, 2024 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Ayola Sentosa Palembang

Hotel review of the Ayola Sentosa Palembang, a mid-range hotel in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia.

Hotel Name: Ayola Sentosa Palembang.
Address: Jalan Kolonel Atmo No. 16 17 Ilir, Ilir Timur, Palembang, Indonesia.

I stayed at Ayola Sentosa Palembang in Palembang, South Sumatra. I booked online at the rate of 392,931 IDR ($24.23 USD) per night, and I booked it for its location in Palembang.

I’ve been to Palembang before so I was familiar with the streets and where would be a reasonable area to stay. As with my last trip, I wanted to be near the Palembang LRT. I got the LRT from the airport and got off at Cinde Station. I walked to the hotel from there.

Ayola Sentosa Palembang is a 3-star mid-range hotel. It’s on a main street that runs next to the main street with the LRT.

The hotel has a spacious lobby and reception area. After the check-in procedure I went to my room.

I booked a “Superior Room” which had a large bed (King Size?) in a room with plenty of space.

The bed was comfortable, and it had useful bedside tables on either side. The room had air-conditioning, which is needed in this tropical latitude..There is free wifi here, which required a login and password combo to get online.

Drinking water is provided, and there is coffee-making facilities.

The bathroom was kept in good condition.

The room has a big balcony that overlooks the city skyline. When I checked in I was asked if I wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. Smoking is so prevalent in Indonesia that hotels usually have floors dedicated to smokers. If you were a smoker you could just sit outside here on this balcony.

Breakfast wasn’t included in my booking so I had to make-do with a convenience store breakfast and coffee. There is also a bar and nightclub on the roof, which is frequented by locals and guests. There aren’t many places you can drink in Palambang, so something to consider for my drinking readers.

Overall this was a great mid-range hotel option in Palembang. Book Ayola Sentosa Palembang online or search for more hotels in Palembang.
