Guest House Review: Xanthis Xenierou Inn, Nicosia – Cyprus

August 7, 2018 By James Clark

Guest House Review: Xanthis Xenierou Inn, Nicosia - Cyprus

Hotel Name: Xanthis Xenierou Inn
Address: 15, Xanthis Xenierou, Nicosia, Cyprus

I stayed at the Xanthis Xenierou Inn in Nicosia, Cyprus. I booked it online for its location at the rate of €22 per night.

The location turned out to be ideally located, being a 10 minute walk from the main bus station that serves the intercity busses. It’s on the edge of the old town, in between the old town and the new city/business district area.

Xanthis Xenierou

The Inn/Guest House has a big sign out the front saying “Xanthis Hostel”, so you can’t miss it.

Xanthis Hostel

The inn is a hostel, but they also have apartments as well. I got a private room with a shared bathroom, making my room more like a guest house.

Xanthis bed

My room was a lovely old space with big windows. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. There was a ceiling fan, which was adequate to keep the room cool in the summer.

Room

The room opened out on to the main balcony, making it feel like you are in a private house.

Balcony

There is a kitchen available if you prefer to self-cater.

Kitchen

The shared bathrooms were a bit cramped for space and they reminded me of the bathrooms of many share houses I have lived in. There were two showers in one room, with not much room to move. The showers were a bit mouldy and they could have used some more hooks to hang things.

Bathroom

There is free wifi at the hostel, and I had a good connection during my stay. So there is no breakfast service, but there are supermarkets nearby if you want to prepare your own meals in the kitchen and eat on the balcony.

Overall this was a good place to stay in Nicosia. Book the Xanthis Xenierou Inn online or search for more hotels in Nicosia.
