Hotel Review: The Paramount Hotel – A budget hotel in Earls Court, London

May 20, 2019 By James Clark Leave a Comment

Hotel Review: The Paramount Hotel, London

Hotel Name: The Paramount Hotel
Address: 50 Nevern Square, Earls Court, Kensington and Chelsea, London, United Kingdom.

I stayed at the The Paramount Hotel in London. I booked it online for the rate of £40 per night (approximately $50 USD). Earls Court is one of my preferred areas to stay in London, especially if I’m only visiting for a short time. In this case I was here for one night, arriving and departing from Heathrow Airport. Earls Court is on the Piccadilly Line that serves Heathrow, so it’s easy to get to. £40 is about as cheap as it gets for a cheap hotel in central London.

Nevern Square

The Paramount Hotel is on a typical leafy West London street with beautiful old brick buildings. There is a park opposite the hotel, though it’s one of those private parks for home owners of the nearby square.

The Paramount

The reception/office is on the ground floor, and there is a little common area at the back. There’s also an outdoor section behind the building.

Reception

I got a single room with a private bathroom.

Room entrance

The bathroom was at the front of the room, creating a little hallway entrance to the room. There was a space for luggage on the side.

Luggage rack

The room was pretty small, with just enough room on the side of the single bed. If you’ve travelled to enough expensive cities around the world then you will come to expect that small rooms are common. Travel is also a relative experience. I still my last London hotel stay fresh on my mind, where I got a room the size of a broom closet for £47. This room felt palatial after that experience.

Bed

The bathroom was clean and felt modern, and everything was in working order.

Bathroom

There is free wifi at the hotel, and I got several signals from my room. This hotel is not a B&B so you will have to forage for breakfast. I went to Greggs on Earls Court Road.

Overall this was a good place to stay if you are looking for a budget hotel in London. Book the The Paramount Hotel or search for more hotels in London.

For comparison, here are some other places I’ve stayed at in Earls Court:

Hotel Olympia – a budget hotel in Earls Court, London
Beaver Hotel review – A mid-range hotel in Earl’s Court, London
Coronation Hotel – A good mid-range hotel in Earls Court, London
Londonears Hostel
