Hotel Name: The Golden Rooster.
Address: Rruga Vilson, Tirana, Albania.
I stayed at The Golden Rooster in Tirana, Albania. I booked online at the rate of €11 per night, and I booked it for the combination of price and location. I booked a private room with a shared bathroom, which is a typical arrangement for private rooms in hostels.
The hostel is in a centrally-located position in Tirana, about a 10-minute walk from the main square. It’s in an alley down another alley, but easy enough to follow when using Google Maps.
The hostel is in a private house on its own block of land with a lockable gate. It’s in an interesting building with a circular central staircase. The staircase has a circular skylight which makes the building distinctly stand out (see the first photo).
My private room had a double bed in a spacious room.
This was a typical private room in a hostel, with the most spartan furnishings. A comfortable bed in a private room.
Plenty of light with the big windows, and I could see into the neighbouring chicken yard (hence the name of the hostel perhaps?)
The bathrooms were spacious and kept in good condition. It cost an extra €1 to rent a towel.
There is a kitchen here for self-caterers.
There is covered outdoor seating in the garden area as well.
Overall this was a nice hostel to stay at in Tirana. Check rates for The Golden Rooster online, or search for more hotels in Tirana.
After staying here I moved to a guesthouse in Tirana, and another apartment/hostel. And here is my Tirana trip report.
