I stayed at the Peach Guesthouse on Koh Phangan, Thailand. I booked it for its location in Haad Rin, which is the Full Moon Party beach of Koh Phangan. It’s about 10 minute walk from the beach and I was there during a new moon, so it was quiet. The rate was $11.24 USD per night.

The reception is a little office next to a travel agent, and my room was across the street up a little hill.

The rooms are set up motel-style, with rows of rooms facing a parking area and garden and each room having a balcony entrance.

I got a double room with attached bathroom, and was allocated a twin (or double-double). The room had two fans and both were needed as it got hot as soon as they were off. The bed was comfortable though the pillows were too big.

The bed top-sheet was a light blanket fabric that seems to be popular in guesthouses in Southeast Asia. Bring your own travel sheet if you prefer a sheet.

The bathroom was clean and tidy with a good sink space and stone floor tiling. There was also hot water, which felt almost weird having just come from a place with cold water and being in a room that was so warm.

There was wifi in my room but I had a crappy signal that kept dropping out. I’m not sure if it was because the room was far from reception (I didn’t see the signal box) or if that was just normal island wifi.
