Guesthouse Review: Old Town Villa, Durrës – Albania

October 26, 2021 By James Clark

Guesthouse Review: Old Town Villa, Durrës - Albania

Hotel Name: Old Town Villa.
Address: Rruga Mustafa Varoshi, Durrës, Albania.

I stayed at Old Town Villa in Durrës, Albania. I booked online at the rate of €18.72 per night, and I booked it for its location in Durrës.

Durrës is the main port of Albania, and there are also some beaches in the city area. It also has a (barely) working train to Tirana, and there are ferries to Italy from here. My interest was to stay in the city centre while being near the station and walkable to a beach. The Old Town Villa ticked all those boxes. I arrived here by bus from Tirana, which stops next to the train station. It was an easy walk from there to the guesthouse.

There isn’t much of an old town left in Durrës, but there are a few old buildings left over in the street of the guesthouse.

Old Town Villa is in its own building with a gated courtyard.

Old Town Villa

The entrance has a nice little courtyard area, and I was greeted by the friendly owner and offered a coffee while I was checked in.

Courtyard

I booked a Double Room with a Private Bathroom. The room felt new and it was a comfortable bed. It also had a practical table and chair set.

Desk

The room had air conditioning and the wifi box was in my room.

The bathroom was also modern and clean with good hot water service.

Overall this was a great place to stay in Durrës. Check rates online for the Old Town Villa, or search for more hotels in Durrës.
