Metro system is very impressive and useful, wonder why other cities don't plan or already have similar transport networks. Only issue I had was upon arriving at a metro station I was disoriented when I got to ground level. Ie which way is north, south? Phone GPS didn't help much so I ended up buying a good old fashioned compass to get my bearings.

When I taught ESL in South Korea, I lived in Baebang, which is in Asan province just west of the city of Cheonan. I was on the 3rd last station of Seoul Line 1 on its southern leg - taking the non-express train to Seoul Centre Station took just a bit over 2 hours.

Technically, Seoul may not have the biggest subway system, but it sure feels like it!
