Hi James,
Thanks again for you response to my query on the Xinhua Hotel. I re-read your review on this part of Guangzhou and it makes me want to be sure to include it on my trip to China. The whole are looks way different than 1983 for sure. I would like to check out the old alley’s you mentioned as well. It will give me a glimpse of what life was life back in the day when my parents might have walked the streets in the late 1940s.

Great to see your photos. My son has been going there for years for business. I remember him telling me on his first trip they drove for four hours and were still in the city.
