Hotel Review: Hotel Casa Bella, Montreal – Canada

May 9, 2019 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Hotel Casa Bella, Montreal - Canada

Hotel Name: Hotel Casa Bella
Address: 264 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, Canada.

I stayed at the Hotel Casa Bella in Montreal. I booked it online and picked it for its price and location. I booked a private room with a shared bathroom for $44.1 CAD, plus there is the 14.97% tax and 3.50% city tax which is not included at the time of booking. When I checked in I was offered to upgrade to a room with a private bathroom for an extra $5, so I took that.

Hotel Casa Bella

The Hotel Casa Bella is a 2-star budget hotel in a great downtown location, not far from McGill University. It’s on a main street and close to amenities. I walked everywhere in the downtown area from here.

Hotel Casa Bella entrance

I got a double room with big windows facing the road. The room was bright and spacious (at least compared to my previous room in Montreal).

Room

The bed was comfortable and had a bedside table. The room (and hotel in general) is old though, and there were no power outlets near the bed. There is free wifi at the hotel which I was able to get from my room.

Bed

The room and hotel was very well maintained and everything was in good working order. I just mention the age as the furnishing looked a few decades old, and old buildings aren’t wired for the modern traveller with gadgets that need charging overnight.

TV

The bathroom was small but everything was in good and clean order.

Bathroom

There is no breakfast service here, so I went to a nearby Tim Hortons (as you do when you are in Canada).

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. It was an ideal budget hotel in a good location. Book the Hotel Casa Bella or search for more hotels in Montreal.
