Guatemala City Travel Guide

Guatemala City Travel Guide

Guatemala City, like Belize City, was another city in Central America that I was advised to avoid. Of course that just made me more curious. A telling sign that of its lack of visitors is that most of the guest houses are clustered around the airport, so visitors can exit the country without ever going into into the city. The city of Antigua is also about one hour away. I was also coming from Antigua but I booked a night in town to have a look around myself.

My verdict? Yeah, it’s a tough city to love, especially after coming from the charming Antigua. Despite that I always like to wander around any city and see what is going on.
