Tuk Tuk is a tourist service town with a rural flavour. A short stroll away and you will be walking past rice paddies and water buffalo, and chickens can be seen everywhere.

    Did you know that the drivers in Medan are considered the worst drivers in Indonesia? But they could be the best drivers in the world because they always have hit the breaks and know when to avoid crossing animals such as the chickens when ever they appear.
    It’s not only because they care… it’s because you have to pay for each chicken that you hit. You also pay the price of an adult chicken even though you hit a chick. Also, a baby female is a few times more considering they can produce a lot more when the grow up. So it’s pricey.
