Location: Koh Samui – Thailand
The Mummified Monk at Wat Khunaram has to be the most unusual attraction on Koh Samui. The monk, Loung Pordaeng, died in 1973 in the meditation position and that is how he is presented today, still relatively well preserved. Sunglasses have been added so as not to scare the kiddies.
The Wat is on the 4169 ring road between Ban Thurian and Ban Hua Thanon.
