At the river ferry in Ayathaya, Thailand there is a great mural of the characters from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.

Even if you are not a scholar on Chinese literature, most Aussies, Kiwis and Brits my age will recognise the mural as the characters from Monkey, a TV show that was popular in the 80′s.
The story is Chinese, made in Japan and dubbed into English by the BBC.
