Cathedral of Guatemala City – Guatemala

Guatemala City, like Belize City, was another city in Central America that I was advised to avoid. Of course that just made me more curious. A telling sign that of its lack of visitors is that most of the guest houses are clustered around the airport so visitors can exit the country without ever going […]

Volcán de Agua, Antigua – Guatemala

Antigua is a city that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, filled with Spanish colonial era buidings and ruined churches (by earthquakes). Tuk-tuks in San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala

While I knew about the chicken buses of Guatemala (converted American school buses) I wasn’t expecting to see tuk-tuks. These three-wheeled vehicles are all over India and Thailand, and so to are they in the towns around Lake Atitlan. Travel Photos: San Pedro La Laguna photo gallery

New Country Day: Guatemala
